White House Jazz Day Workshop Led by Daniel Rotem
Tenor saxophonist and AICF scholarship recipient Daniel Rotem conducted a jazz workshop at the White House, at a Jazz Day event hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Rotem is a member of the seven-member Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance Ensemble, who performed at the White House as part of the Jazz Day celebrations.
Rotem led and narrated the workshop, which featured jazz masters Herbie Hancock, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terence Blanchard, and Bobby Watson. You can watch the entire event above.
