Congratulations to the New Fund for Cinema and TV for their second year of the GreenhouseWomen Program, a documentary film program for women filmmakers from diverse backgrounds and from all over Israel, just ended, with a pitching event, during which the filmmakers presented the projects they developed throughout the program.

12 participants from all over the Israel came together to work on projects in a broad array of subjects, such as: Honor killing within the Bedouin community in Israel; the tense relationships within the Hatuel family – the famous family of fencers in the mixed town of Acre; a filmmaker’s journey to meet her estranged father, who left her as a child and stayed behind in the Ukraine when she immigrated to Israel; and more.

nfct1The pitching event took place at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque in front of a panel of representatives of Israeli TV channels and an audience of producers and other esteemed guests. The panel members were: Guy Lavie (Yes Docu), Adi Arbel (Channel 8), Itai Landsberg-Nevo (Channel 1), Mor Treger-Daleria (Channel 10), Gili Gaon and Tamar Marom (Reshet TV). The event was moderated by Sinai Abt, Artistic Director of DocAviv Film Festival.

We wish the filmmakers the best of luck with their important projects.
