“Fujinoyamai” by Sasha Tamarin Wins an Award at Tel Aviv Student Film Festival

Sasha Tamarin’s new film, “Fujinoyamai” (Incurable Disease), won first award for best project in the Experimental Film & Video Program at the Tel Aviv Student Film Festival at Tel Aviv University.

From the jury: “Both an experimental documentary and a tragicomic self-portrait, Sasha Tamarin’s film bears the subtitle Incurable Disease, which perhaps describes the difficulty in translating part of the exterior world – in this case, Japan’s Mt. Fuji – into an interior world image”.
