Avishai Cohen’s New Orchestra Album: Two Roses

Avishai Cohen describes his new orchestra album Two Roses as a “once in a lifetime project”. Combining his core trio – Mark Guiliana (drums) and Elchin Shirinov (piano) with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Hanson. Avishai has created a very cinematic recording including his original Jazz and Classical compositions, tinted with Mediterranean Folklore influences.

The title “Two Roses” serves as a metaphor for the album’s adept fusion of jazz and the symphonic world. Cohen’s music is an intricate tapestry of global and historical influence.
