Visions of place: Complex Geographies in Contemporary Israeli Art presents cutting edge Israeli contemporary art by some of Israel’s leading artists. The exhibition is trying to make sense of all the different influences coming from distinct or overlapping segments of Israeli society.

Art by Pavel Wolberg Moses, Dorit Feldman, Toby Cohen, Maya Machawsy Parnas, Orna Lutski, Dor Guest, Asad Azi, Oded Balilty, Tamir Zadok, Ariane Littman, Michael Halak, Uri Gershuni, Tal Shochat and others.

Co-Curators: Dr. J. Susan Isaacs, Professor of Art History, Towson University and Dr. Martin Rosenberg, Professor of Art History, Rutgers–Camden.

Towson University, Center for the Arts Exhibition Dates: February 5 — April 3, 2016

Gallery Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00 am to 8pm, Sundays 11 am to 4 pm. Closed spring break: March 13-20.

House Without Home is a solo show by artist Naomi Safran-Hon at the Goucher University’s Silber Gallery. It brings together 13 pieces that depict fragments of a house that don’t create a home. The paintings combine fabric, cement, pigment, acrylic, and photographs to tell the stories of these structures and their former inhabitants.

The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, can be viewed Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Goucher College’s Silber Art Gallery in the Sanford J. Ungar Athenaeum through Sunday, April 3.
