AMEHL’s Night School Fashion Show

Amanda Mehl had her New York Fashion Week debut with her AW17 collection NIGHT SCHOOL in an alternative runway show on a school bus. It was the 3rd collection of her label AMEHL.

On a tight budget, Mehl created her own guerrilla style fashion show at Clarkson Sq, the heart of NYFW, in her own improvised venue: A school bus!

Assisted by a crew of enthusiastic volunteers, Mehl presented 27 looks of her collection in front of a cheering crowd of 70 people crammed into a 44 person school bus. During the show, the models used the bus aisle as a catwalk, while music by KARMA SHE was playing, lights were flashing and the guests enjoyed their PB&J sandwiches packed in brown paper lunch bags.

The show has already generated media attention and was published in international media outlets such as the New York Post, Elle, Nylon, AFP, France 24, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail, Yahoo, Getty, Asia One, ect.
