Food for Thought, based on the story “The Lady and the Peddler” by S.Y. Agnon.

The Lady and the Peddler is Literature Nobel Prize laureate S.Y. Agnon’s most well-known and studied story. Precisely because of its central place in Israeli culture, in every generation we are required to rethink the meaning of the story, the drama at its foundation and the price of passion and its realization.
The performance "Slides down the Throat" invites the audience to an interactive ceremony, through a meeting between the current climate and Agnon’s language, towards foundational questions of faith, passion, and our interactions with the other.
