Alon Farber & Hagiga at Beit Haamudim

The "Hagiga" sextet is one of the veteran bands in the Israeli Jazz scene. It was formed in 2001 and since then recorded four highly-praised albums for big Jazz labels in the world. Hagiga has performed on the biggest stages of the world of Jazz - including Paris, Copenhagen, Shenzhen, Red Sea and many more, and has gathered many followers around the globe.

Hagiga's music is exciting and varied. The group can go from fast swing to Bossa Nova, Moroccan groove and Funk. Their music bridges the divide between meticulously written scores and freely-roaming adventures. They perform arrangements for three multi-horn players and a rhythm section - and, occasionally, a vocalist – but they also leave a lot of space for free interaction on stage. That means you never know exactly what is coming up next. This combination is what makes Hagiga's music so exciting - beautiful, rich arrangements spiced up with an unrestrained spirit.

The group's forth album "Reflecting on Freedom" was released under the leading Jazz label "Origin Records" (Seattleת WA, USA) just a year ago.
