About Uri Zafrir
A pianist and composer, born in Israel in 1992. Graduated from the Campus Arison School of the Arts in Tel Aviv and later attended Thelma Yellin High School for the Arts.
Pursued studies at the Shtriker Conservatory under the guidance of Mrs. Ruth Tirosh, Mrs. Sarah Tal, and later with Professor Arie Vardi at Tel Aviv University.
Served in the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) as an outstanding musician. Achieved recognition in various competitions, including the Clairmont Competition (Tel Aviv University), the Young Composer Competition in Composition (Broadcast in Channel 23), the Pnina Zaltzman Competition, and the Turgeman Competition. Received scholarships, including those from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation for the years 2006-2014, both for solo and chamber ensembles, the Buchman-Heyman Foundation, and the Ronen Foundation. Also awarded a scholarship from the Academy of Music in Tel Aviv - the Alexander Volkov Scholarship.
Performed with renowned orchestras, including the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the IDF Chamber Orchestra, the Sharon Orchestra, and the Thelma Yellin School Orchestra, Cervo Music Festival Orchestra in Italy.
Participated in music festivals worldwide, such as the Tanglewood Festival (USA), the Bergamo Festival (Italy), the Abu Gosh Festival, the Cervo Festival (Italy), the Beethoven Festival at the Gesher Theater, and the Abu Gosh Festival.
A graduate of the Outstanding Musicians Program at the Jerusalem Music Center. Participated in masterclasses led by renowned artists, including Andras Schiff, Murray Perahia, Robert Levin, Boaz Sharon, zhe tang, Ian Fountain, and others.
Contributed as a pianist to the soundtrack of the film "Sins" by Avi Nesher.
Holds two bachelor's degrees, one in music and one in economics.

פסנתרן ומלחין, נולד בישראל בשנת 1992.
למד בביה"ס לאמנויות קמפוס אריסון תל אביב, ולאחר מכן בתיכון תלמה ילין לאמנויות.
למד בקונסרבטוריון שטריקר עם הגב׳ רות תירוש, הגב' שרה טל, ולאחר מכן המשיך בלימודיו עם פרופסור אריה ורדי באוניברסיטת תל אביב.
בצה״ל שירת כמוסיקאי מצטיין.
זוכה תחרויות: תחרות קלרמונט (אוניברסיטת תל אביב), תחרות היוצר הצעיר בקומפוזיציה, תחרות פנינה זלצמן, תחרות תורג'מן. זוכה מלגות: קרן תרבות אמריקה ישראל לשנים 2006-2014 הן בנגינת סולו והן בהרכבים קאמריים, קרן בוכמן-היימן, ומלגת קרן רונן. כמו כן, זוכה מלגת האקדמיה למוסיקה בת"א –ע"ש אלכסנדר וולקוב.
ניגן עם תזמורות כגון תזמורת חיפה, התזמורת הקאמרית של צה"ל, תזמורת השרון, תזמורת בית הספר תלמה ילין, ותזמורת פסטיבל המוסיקה צ׳רבו שבאיטליה.
השתתף בפסטיבלי מוסיקה בארץ ובעולם – פסטיבל טנגלווד (ארה"ב), פסטיבל ברגמו (איטליה), פסטיבל אבו גוש, פסטיבל צ'רבו (איטליה), פסטיבל בטהובן בתאטרון גשר, ופסטיבל אבו גוש.
אורי בוגר תכנית הנגנים המצטיינים של המרכז למוסיקה ירושלים.
השתתף בכיתות אמן עם: אנדראס שיף, מארי פראיה, רוברט לווין, בועז שרון, זה טאנג, איאן פאונטיין.
הקליט כפסנתרן מוסיקה לסרט "החטאים" של אבי נשר.
