About Nahar Eliaz

Nahar was born in Israel in 2006 and began cello lessons at the age of five with Mrs. Bluma Sarid. Since 2017, she studies with Prof. Hillel Zori from Tel Aviv Music Academy. Nahar has a brother and a sister who play as well. When she was 9 years old she was invited by Itzhak and Toby Perlman to NY USA to study with a Prof. From Juilliard school of music.

In 2018 Nahar join the Perlman Program Music and was invited to perform at the prime minister’s office in a ceremony honoring Mr. Itzhak Perlman with the Genesis Prize. During that year Nahar also joined Jerusalem Music center and was invited twice by the center to London to give solo and chamber music concert in London couched by Murray Perahia. Nahar got a scholarship from Zfunot Culture Organization and was invited by them to perform with the winners of Arthur Rubinstein Young Competition in Israel in 2017 and a recital in 2018 in the Mormon University. Nahar participated three times (2017-19) in the famous Monthly Summer Festival of “Morningside Music Bridge” and won the 1st prize in the final concerto competition in MMB NEC in Boston in 2017 and the 2nd prize in MMB Warsaw Poland in 2018.

During the years, Nahar has participated in many masterclasses in Israel and abroad with Prof. Laurence Lesser, Prof. Paul Katz, Prof. Tbea Zimmermann, Andras Diaz, Peter Stumpf and Prof. From Music Academy in Poland and China.

Nahar won twice in a row the 1st prize with the highest honor in the scholarship competition of the Israeli Conservatory and she represents the Conservatory in chamber music, string orchestra, and soloist events.

Nahar is a member of “Savyon Trio” which was established by her and two of her colleagues in summer 2017 in Boston and was invited to give solo and chamber music in Israel 2017 and in Calgary Canada by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018.

In 2018, Nahar performed in Kol-Hamusika Radio Station and gave via radio solo recital and in 2019 she was invited to perform in the USA Radio program “From The Top” by giving a live streaming recital in Boston. Nahar was also invited by Dr. Orit Wolf to perform in series of concerts in Israel. Since 2017 Nahar won in a row the scholarship of the AICF, in 2019 with the highest honor and she is happy to be a member of this fantastic organization and represent it through her musical language.
