About Elad Navon

Elad Navon, Clarinetist, was born in august 2000 in Israel. Started playing the piano at the age of 6 and started playing the clarinet at the age of 9, at the Conservatory of the JAMD, in the class of Ilya Schwartz. Elad is graduated from high school and the conservatory of the JAMD.

Elad is currently studying at the Buchman – Mehta School of Music in the class of Tibi Cziger.
He served at the IDF, under the status of an “Outstanding Musician”.
Elad is being supported by the AICF since 2017, and is being supported with the “excellence scholarship” since 2019.

Over the years, Elad played in the symphony orchestras and wind orchestra of the high school and the conservatory of the JAMD, the National Youth Wind Orchestra, the BMSM symphony orchestra, Ramat Gan symphony orchestra and the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Also, thanks to the Buchmann-Mehta School’s “Practicum” internship program and the KeyNote Program of the IPO, Elad was invited several times to play as a clarinetist in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, including in one of the IPO’s series with Sir András Schiff.

Elad has extensive experience in chamber music: he played in many ensembles, coached by Dror Zemel, Arnon Erez, Menachem Wiesenberg, Christian Stene, Ron Trachtman, Asaf sommer, Ella Toovy, Natasha Kosov, Tibi Cziger, Ilya Schwartz, Ido Azrad, Mauricio Paez, and Hilma Digilov.

Elad participated in the “David Goldman Program” in the Jerusalem Music Centre.

In November 2017, Elad participated in “Aurora Festival” in Sweden, and played for the professors Yehuda Gilad and Christian Stene. he also played in a concert of the festival in Vanersburg, Sweden.

Elad participated in masterclasses with the teachers: Murray Perahia, Sharon Kam, Pascal Moragues, Chen Halevi, Shirly Brill, Michael Rusinek, Julian Milkis, Alexander Fiterstein, Emil Visenescu, Yevgeny Yehudin, Ron Zelka, Danny Erdman, and more.
Elad won the first prize in the annual Wind Competition of the BMSM in 2020, a year after receiving the honorary mention of the competition in 2019.

In addition, in February 2016 Elad won the 4th prize at the Kfar-Saba competition, and in 2018 he won the 2nd prize in the Chamber Music competition of the JAMD.

Elad played many concerts in Israel: in YMCA hall, Jerusalem Theatre, Israel Museum, Eden-Tamir Center in Ein Kerem (as part of live radio broadcasting), in Charles Bronfman Auditorium and more. He played several times in concerts abroad as an ensemble player and orchestra player.
