About Roy Ben Bashat
After graduating from the prestigious Thelma Yelin high school of the arts in Israel, Roy Ben Bashat moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music after being offered for a full scholarship. In Berklee, Ben Bashat had the honor to study and being mentored by masters such as Terri Lyne Carrington, Kris Davis and Linda May Oh.
Still in college, he also recorded and performed with artists like Darren Barrett, Noah Preminger, and played in respectful venues and festivals such as The Kennedy Center (Washington, DC), Red Sea Jazz festival, Cambridge Jazz festival and Aspen Jazz festival.
Currently Ben Bashat lives in NYC and works in the NY jazz scene and plays with artists like Mimi Jones, Tia Fuller, Jochen Rueckert and others.
